Senehasa is a centre for children with Learning Disabilities in Galle serviving the
whole of southern province. This purpose built centre has a multidisciplinary team including Medical consultants, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Speech and Language therapists, Audiologists and other
paramedical staff. There are over 500 children registered at the centre.
This centre requires just over £5,000 as staff salaries in addition to other
running costs that include travel expenses for children from poor families. The centre desperately needs training and support for audiologists to test children with disabilities. There is an excellent equipped
audiology facility donatd by the World Jewish Aid, currently not being fully used due to the above.
